Legalise cannabis for recreational use
Cannabis is a relatively safe drug. A report from University of Western Australia states that cannabis is less harmful and poses less risks than many other drugs, including licit substances.1
We believe its legalisation would lead to better health outcomes for West Australians and a reduction in violent crime.
We also see economic promise in the legalisation of recreational cannabis. It has the potential to create an industry, jobs, spur innovation and generate revenue that can be reinvested into our communities.
Personal cannabis cultivation
We would like to pass legislation that will allow personal cannabis cultivation of up to 6 plants per household with a clear quality control process if people wish to sell their product.
